    Diabetes risk can be lowered with consumption of grapes

    If you are a diabetes patient, incorporate grapes in your diet plan because it cuts down chances of developing diabetes. As per a study conducted by University of Michigan researchers, it has been found out that grapes contain naturally occurring antioxidants which can cut down on the risks factors related to cardiovascular diseases and metabolic syndrome.

    The antioxidant phytochemicals has been found out to be effective against Type II diabetes which has been linked to obesity. Besides incorporating fresh fruit in the diet, Dr Linda Voss, Co-ordinator, EarlyBird Diabetes Study, suggests that lifestyle changes also play an important part to cure diabetes. She advises that one of the best ways to prevent diabetes is to exercise more and consume fewer calories.

    Eating too much food increases the risk of diabetes therefore consumption of a healthy balanced diet is important as it is stated to be rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals
